About the Artist
Lynn lives and works as an ICU nurse in New Haven Connecticut. And although she found her passion for watercolor painting later in life she had always loved the art of painting. "I have very fond memories from when I was a child, visiting art museums and wandering through the galleries in awe of the magnificent works."
Lynn has had extensive training from her teacher and mentor, Mim Mills of Milford CT. She has taken many workshops with Robert O’Brian who has been instrumental in encouraging her vision as a watercolorist. She has also worked with Mel Stabin, Joel Popadic, Janet Campbell and Pat Morgan. She receives invaluable critique from her peers in the watercolor field.
Lynn paints primarily on 300lb cold press watercolor paper. She paints en plein air and uses photo and still life references. She has displayed her works in the Northeast International Watercolor Exhibition, the Northeast Watercolor Society members show, and the East Granby Library juried show. In 2017 she displayed 16 of her works in a three person show at the Case Memorial Library Gallery in Orange Ct.
Lynn has been teaching beginner watercolor classes for the past 3 years and has discovered a real love for teaching.
Lynn is a Signature member of the Northeast Watercolor Society.
